There will be many ups and downs along this very lengthy trip to the UPSC.

4 . Review the course syllabus:

If you plan to take the exam for the first time, you must first go over the curriculum and at least choose one poor topic. Then, look over your optional subjects.

Now, attempt to think of any questions that will spring to mind regarding how to organise the subject. How will you obtain the course notes? how will you take notes? Which coaching centre is the finest for your subject? Which YouTube channel should I prefer whether I should attend a coaching centre or not? Many believe that you must protect both physically and mentally.

5 . Make A Useful Timetable:

Now Plan your schedule accordingly because you are limited by time.

The secret to effective planning is:

(1) Modify to suit your needs

(2) Examine your areas of strength and weakness; (3) Show pragmatism

Make a list of all the subjects you need to study for your schedule.

Obtain background information for the study schedule.

• You need to have a structured daily schedule if you want to become an IAS officer.

• Prior to your preparation, create a comfortable timetable and follow it.

6 . Know the UPSC   Previous Years Question Papers:

Read the previous year’s exam paper for at least five years in an effort to comprehend how the pattern of the questions is changing. What matters most is how at ease you are answering questions, which indicates whether you relate them to subjects you have already studied in school or college.

7. Prelims and mains :

You must simultaneously prepare for the prelims and mains if you have read about the syllabus and previous years’ questions. When you show up for the preliminary exams, don’t worry about how poorly your exam was taken; instead, focus on your main preparations.

Now that you’ve started your preparation, it’s important to make a good decision about your optional. Instead of choosing the option your institute or a friend suggests, pick the one you find most interesting because the path you’re about to embark on will be quite long. You must therefore choose the topic that interests you the most because it will spur you on during your journey.

6 . Coaching or without counting institute.

Many aspirants are unsure whether to enrol in a coaching programme or not. If you can afford it, you should enrol. If not, there are many platforms where you can easily find examples of people who passed the upsc exam without coaching.

  • • The most significant component of the IAS test is the newspapers. Exams for the civil service are designed to measure a candidate’s comprehensive understanding of the society in which he or she resides. The idea that candidates should be fully informed of what is going on throughout the world is a widespread one.

While familiarity with one’s own village, district, state, and country should be considered the basis for preparation, knowledge of current international affairs is also necessary. One can very effectively serve their country by doing this. You have no chance of passing the IAS exam if you don’t read the daily newspaper or keep up with the daily news.

7 . Start with NCERTs:

Ncert is the foundational text to begin studying. Do not take the requirement to read the 6–12 class ncet books lightly; every year, straight questions from these books appear in both the prelims and mains exams as well as in the majority of interviews.

How to follow necrt ?

Many aspirants just read and leave it you do not need to do this suppose today you read history class chapter 1 and after 5 minutes break again read chapter after that make notes from that chapter and try to solve mcq of that particular chapter .

How you will get question like chapterwise ?

There are many books available in the market you can purchase where you can practice chapterwise quiz but you can get chapterwise on the web site its www.chapterwisemcq.com it is totally free of cost so you can do .

8 .  Keep writing

Prelims exam is not selection round it is elimination round your rank is judge by the mains result and mains totally depend on writing to you need to practice a lot by for getting good writing skill . you do not need to use very heavy vocabulary just try to convey your message in simple language . you also need to improve your writing speed  like in 7 minute you need to write 150 words try to achieve this kind of speed .

9 . Make notes:

as you have read about syllabus now you can understand syllabus is so vast and there are numbers of books which you need to read , many magazine , daily current affairs your optional subject so end of the day it is very hard revise your books so for getting rid of the situation you have make notes it will help you at the end of the day .

How the notes should be .

It should be in your language.

Do not use other notes

It may be in diagram,  poem or an attractive thing .

Poem like . warren hasting corn khayega john well ko bulayega vo jio ka phone layega minto I ki hasti lotayega kaun ye batayega I am  . (these are governor general of india chrolologicaly I hope it is coorect )

10 . Mock Test Series:

Mock test is very important it will tell you where you are lacking what you need to prepare more it will also give you exam pressure help you to manage your time that you are able complete your paper or not . Research which institute is good for prelims test series and mains test series there many teachers are available on YouTube or telegram they also launch their test series. there is a myth that if we pay less amount as compare the big coaching institute so I will get no good service it is not like that so take which you feel good or simple check their previous year papers you will get idea whether you should join or not

11 . Revision

Revision  most important thing is the journey is revision it is most most most most important thing . if you will not do your whole study , money , time will be wasted

How you can revise suppose you have to study 1 and the half year

So let’s start with day one

. Every day end of the day 1 hour what you study that day .

Next day give 5 minute to just see what you study yesterday.

End of the weak revise all seven days notes which you were revising every day .

End of the month just revise what you were revising every end of the weak .

Now you have many think to revise just fix one day in a weak for revision on old notes . now suppose you have manage this by 3 months just make a set of those revision notes .

Revise whenever you do not like to study because when you don’t like to study it means you do not like to study new thing but for old think yu need to just see use head phone play song and revise . every 3 month revision notes you need to set .

The Pomodoro method follows a basic pattern of 25 minutes studying followed by a five minute break. If you do four of these in a row you can then have a longer break. It works because you learn better in short sessions and you don’t have to punish yourself with unbroken hours of revision.

be positive you will face lots of problem just be ready for this
